It seems like Apple's marketing plans for an upcoming product are pretty advanced right now, since they already filmed an ad in a small diner outside Reno.
The security was tight on the filming location, since the product filmed is not available on the market right now.
We heard some pretty wild rumors about the Google OS for a while now. Yesterday, the Mountain View based company announced details about the forthcoming Google Chrome OS in the company's blog. The operating system will support all x86 chips, which in fact includes the "mobile" CPUs ARM and Atom.
Last week, teenage hacker George Hotz released a jailbreak for the new iPhone 3GS, which could then be used to run the ultrasn0w unlock. Now the Dev Team released their own version called redsn0w, which enables an unlock on Mac and PCs.
The iPhone Dev Team writes in the blog:
Last night we released updated versions of our redsn0w jailbreak and ultrasn0w carrier unlock. These versions are now compatible with the iPhone 3GS running at 3.0. Welcome aboard, 3GS owners! (The tools of course remain compatible with all of the other platforms too.) Also last night, saurik released 3GS-compatible versions of MobileSubstrate and WinterBoard, components that enable many different add-ons and themes.
The Dev Team claims, if you have the correct personalized (signed) dfu/img3 files, then you’ll be able to jailbreak, even after you installed Apple’s coming update 3.1 But if you have the intention to unlock your iPhone 3GS permanently you should observe the discussion on the baseband upgrades in the Dev Team's blog.
Video, demonstrating the jailbreak process:

Since WWDC not much rumors were spotted. LoopRumors opens the new rumors season and says that a trusted source informed them of a upcomming special event in August which will be hosted of Steve Jobs.
As you heard, Steve Jobs is working at Apple again but also you´ve heard of the liver transplant. Why mention it? Apple itself didn´t confirmed nor denied reports of it. So, lets take a look at Apple´s secrecy rules.
If you as Apple user hear of the market research Institute iSuppli from El Segundo you get kinda nervous. You remember ripped apart iPods, sawed off Macbooks and so on. Why they do this? To get the information which components were used to manufacture the product and it´s worth.
Well, that was obvious, wasn´t it? Apple sold 1 million iPhone 3G S so far.and six million iPhone OS 3.0 Software Downloads were made in just three days.
Seems like the iPhone 3G S request is very high. T-Mobile Germany now listed the 32GB version as sold out and you can pre-order it or get a 16GB iPhone 3G S.
