Well, iPhone OS 3.0 is here, Push Notifications are officially working but for some reasons we miss some important applications which could make good use of Push Notifications. Why?

Yesterday the iPhone OS 3.0 was published, hopefully no one bricked their phones. And what we need after the update of the OS are updates of the applications! Shazam, Topple 2 and Star Defense got their updates right away, lets wait for more.

Apple´s App Store offers a wide variety of location based apps as we know. Skyhook Wireless reports that currently there are around 2.300 such apps available and about 75% are payware. The averge price of these apps is about $3,60 per app. BlackBerry users however have to pay an averge price of $13,60 per location based app.

Apple and AT&T sued because the "Shazam Application" for iPod touch and iPhone is suspected to break patent laws. The company "Tune Hunter" owns a patent for recognize music over the internet and purchasing it from a download shop like iTunes or Amazon Music.
